    DOG PERSON

    Another band from Athens, GA™

    Dog Person is an Athens Georgia-bred band of mutts that mixes organ-driven pop with breezy ennui. Their songs are sometimes a little twee, sometimes a little angsty, and usually about your shitty ex. With influences running the gamut from The Breeders to Harry Nilsson’s Popeye soundtrack, their sound lands in a space that fans of Camera Obscura and Veronica Falls would appreciate. They've spent the last 3 years performing all over Athens with bands like Nana Grizol, Nihilist Cheerleader, Monsoon and Little Gold;  perfecting their debut album Late Bloomer released on March 11, 2025.

    Dog Person's songs are measured in dog minutes (2.5 human minutes max) and cover the entire dog emotional spectrum (happy, sad, hungry, and the shame of having made a terrible mess of everything).
